Power of Sun
India since the age of Puranas, had realised the importance of the sun. Life on the earth is sustained due to presence of almighty sun. He is the centre of extreme power, giving light and life to other planets. Due to this power he is considered as the king of our solar system . In sanskrit, sun is called surya. He is God of Hindus, creator of universe and source of life. He has been traveling in seven horses chariot, to come out in the east, the next morning. He doesn't rest. If he stops, there won't be life on earth. Who are aware of his great power, in Hinduism, every morning, there is culture of praying to sun God, holding hands, facing to the east, called Surya Namaskara . He is celebrated during the harvest festival of Pongal in southern India and by Tamils in general. There are temples built in India for Sun God, one is in Orissa, the Konark temple. This is to introduce a little about Sun. Using that solar energy India has installed a capacity of
